About Us

We moved to Moor Close Farm in 2015, it was originally farmed by Mike’s 93 year old Grandad George who was a tenant for over 70 years, we farm the land here alongside another family farm in Thornton Dale.

We live here with our two daughters, Scarlett and Lily who are animal mad, two spaniels Lottie and Rufus and a little black cat called Maggie. We have a small flock of sheep breeding pedigree Southdowns. We also have several ponies and horses which seasonally live here and at our other farm stead. 

The wildlife down at Moor Close farm is incredible, because we are quite far away from any busy roads the wildlife thrives down here, from anything from a hedgehog to a fox, it’s a nature lovers paradise. To our family its heaven and we hope we can share it with you and you enjoy it as much as we do when you stay at the Peddler's Den.
